An interactive dance and music experience for babies and toddlers.

In this clownish, magical and musical performance, dancers move around and musicians surround the children with gentle tunes. Together they improvise on the movements and sounds of the young audience, creating a unique and touching dialogue between performers, babies and adults.

Makiko Ito is a Japanese choreographer and dancer who creates interactive performances for young children with her Wonderland Collective. Makiko collaborates with musicians who play an essential role in the interaction with the audience. The performances of the Wonderland Collective are based on a special improvisation technique, turning each performance into a unique experience. Makiko Ito’s strength is her exceptional communication with young children, who are visibly moved and engaged during the performance.

BB premiered at Festival 2turvengoog (NL) in 2011 and has since played with great success at various international festivals and in France.
