Nour often dreams about her father, who stayed behind in the country where she was born. In her dream, her father is standing in the moonlight as he looks out at the ocean. He slowly bends his knees and spreads his arms. Wings emerge. He inhales, pushes off and… flies.
With live video, music and puppets you are taken on an adventure beyond the walls of the asylum seekers’ centre, beyond the borders of the Netherlands, in search of Nour’s father.
Studio Figur is the theatre company of Noufri Bachdim and Pluck Venema. In a completely unique language they create performances with puppets, live video and music.
